Family Nature Walks
Family Nature Walks
In October 2014 I started a Natural Science degree with the Open University and with it came a side of the business that branches off from working with animals and looking closer at the environment we live in.
As a dog owner and Science student I have come to notice a lot more around me as I go on our daily walks and in looking after other peoples animals. I have also had the opportunity to work with friends children and a local Primary school to develop two very different options to share my knowledge with the next generation.
My family nature walks are designed so that you as a family can introduce your child(ren) to the natural world in a safe and secure environment while learning about different environments and the plants and animals within them, and the delicate balance they form to work in harmony.
They also encourage investigation into Science while developing skills in observation, teamwork and coordination through practical and theoretical activities using different techniques including art and construction.
Please see below for details on what is currently available and for more information or to book a session, please email me on the details below or via the contact form on the home page.

With warm days and showers come beautiful hay meadows and a wealth of plants, animals and insects to investigate.
Before these beautiful meadows are mown for hay, why not join me for a meadow walk where your children will learn about how to identify, draw and photo the tiny details around them.
During each session your children will look at different animals, plants and rocks to learn how nature works through observation, drawing and activities that can be recreated at home.
Your children will also learn about how to safely work with nature and learn key health and safety, as well as develop observation skills.
To book your 2-hour family nature walk for £20 please email me at [email protected]
Also available are Hedgerow and Woodland walks.
