Home School Helper

Welcome to my home school helper page.

A home school helper is the perfect combination of a nanny and a tutor rolled into one.

Experienced with children between the ages of 3 and 11 years old, this service combines my knowledge of teaching children with the flexibility of being able to help families maintain some balance to their day to day lives, especially in times of yoyoing lockdowns and school closures.

The demand for home school help is increasing where families require extra help, whether that is with home schooling or general household management while they try to maintain a work-life balance.

I hold qualifications and certificates in Advanced Safeguarding of Children, Challenging Behaviour, Child Mental Health, COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), Food Safety and Hygiene, and I also hold a 5* rating with MSDC as a home baker and a current DBS.

Working within your own home and with complete flexibility to suit you, I work in line with current government guidelines and am happy to discuss what protocols I have in place to keep you and your family safe.

Please see below for the services I offer within this role of a home school helper.

FAQ: Are Home School Helpers allowed?

Home School Helpers are nannies who also help with school work and in-home childcare is permitted under the current national lockdown regulations.

Tutoring

With a passion for teaching science, cooking and natural science, my tutoring is focussed on teaching home economics and science through fun activities where children learn by doing.

Combining various activities such as science and cooking, your children learn about maths, reactions, health and safety in the kitchen, and cleanliness while making items for their meal and snack times.

During my nature sessions, your children will learn about the natural world which will involve them creating and investigating nature in their own gardens and learning about nature through art, observation and identification.

Of course, there will be learning through reading, writing and speaking and I will be on hand to help design and develop the lessons to help guide your children's learning and each session is designed to the age-group.
